Drugstore chain fails to bring messiah

Inside the new Maroon (new issue not yet online), there's a news article about the shiny new CVS that just opened on 53rd Street. While chain drugstores were one of the few things Hyde Park already had, shopping-wise, the CVS looked like it would probably improve the somewhat bleak stretch on which it recently sprung up. Well, a CVS is well and good, but then there's the front-page story, accompanied by another photo of that same CVS, this one taken at night. Seems a man "died Sunday night outside the new CVS at Kimbark Plaza, after he was shot in the head and chest." Think I'll be sticking with Walgreens...

Acquiring a couple of stigmata while purchasing your toothpaste is the traditional method of testing one's messiah-ness.
